Ellomyjello
Hey guys I am extremely new to modding. 2 days new in fact, and I have a couple questions about creating houses/interiors in the game. I'm trying to create a simple house in IC Waterfront and I was wondering if I needed to make the land I'm building the house on flat. Also, how to link the door with the interior of the house? I've been going through some good resources on beginner modding but I feel that some things are better asked by people that have experience! Feedback would be awesome :) Edit: Any help gets Kudos. theuseless
Hi, you should check out my compillation of beginners' tutorials, Tutorials Abound.http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/182360-tutorials-abound/page__p__1578084__hl__%2Btutorials+%2Babound__fromsearch__1#entry1578084 To answer your first question:No, your house does not need to be on flat ground. I would reccomend using the heightmap editor to make the ground level (if you don't mind having parts of your house sunk into the world, you can skip this) The second question:You will need to add a door to the interior (one to connect to) and make one in the exterior (one to connect from). Double click your exterior door and click the teleport tab. Choose your cell and door reference. If you can't find your interior door, edit the editor ID to something unique, then repeat this step. If you can't figure out how to do these things, look up A Beginners' Guide or How to Make Mods, both listed in my tutorials page.
