JIggit
For some reason, I can't get the No Helmet Hack by yonline to work at all. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=202 I'm using DAmodder to install the file, and it say that it's installed, but when I load in game all the characters have the same helmets, and no combination of equipping and unequipping will change them from acting normally. As far as I can tell, nothing is happening in game whatsoever. Other mods have installed absolutely fine, and I've tried uninstalling other mods to no avail. I've tried every way of installing and uninstalling I can think of, using old versions and using the override file, but it seems to have no effect whatsoever on the game. The only thing I haven't uninstalled (because it's a huge hassle) is Dracomies Dragon Age redesigned, but I'm pretty sure I read Dracomies saying that it worked, and even recommending it. I am using the Steam version of the game, which I thought might be a problem, but none of the other mods I've tried have any problem installing. As it is the only mods I've used are the white teeth mod and more hairstyles, both of which I've uninstalled anyway. So, any tips? I'd really like to get this mod to work... ea732
I had the same problems with the no Helmet hack, so i tried one of the authors more recent hacks which would be No Armor Hack 1_2 My link Its very easy to use since ingame you get a skill specified for the mod allowing you disable specific pieces of armor you do not want to show. Otherwise make sure the no helmet hack is showing in your DLC list ingame if not then it was not installed correctly

I tried doing this but as far as I can tell the exact same thing is happening, i.e. nothing whatsoever. I can't see the skill under any options or in any taskbars, and there's nothing to indicate any effect at all ingame. Like I say, other appearance mods are still working fine. I'm not sure if I understood you correctly with the DLC thing. Under the downloadable content section I can't see anything except expansion packs and their cost. I've never heard that mods appear under DLC, or is this mod designed to do it? None of my other mods are showing under DLC, and they are most definitely working as intended. Thanks for trying :)
ea732
You should check if the mod is installing into the correct directory. go to Documents > Bioware> Dragon Age> Addins And see if the Mod is installed there if not then your manager has the installation path. And yeah if you are in game and u go into your Journal under the downloadable content tab it will list this mod in there, not many other mods are listed within DLC since they are overrides

Good idea though
Thandal
I have no idea why the word "Journal" was used in this case, but the place to check whether this mod was installed is the "Downloadable Content" menu, on the "Installed Content" tab (the one on far right.) Any ".dazip" file that has been correctly added to the game will appear here, and can be selected ("enabled", "checked", "ticked", pick your preferred term) on this screen to toggle the mod (or DLC) on or off whilst you play. Any ".dazip" file that has been correctly added to the game will appear here, and can be selected ("enabled", "checked", "ticked", pick your preferred term) on this screen to toggle the mod (or DLC) on or off whilst you play. Well, the dazip thing narrowed it down, my other mods aren't dazip files. I checked downloadable content in the main menu and whilst in my save game, and neither show the mods. Because I had the steam version of the game the DAupdater.exe file was in a weird place. When I found it and used it, it worked just fine. I'm guessing there's some sort of clash with the steam version specifically which messes up Damodder, though I don't know enough about the process to imagine how. I uninstalled it on DAmodder and then installed it with DAupdater and everything is working as intended, for anyone who might have the same problem. Annoying, but there we go. Thanks for the help guys

Thanks for the help guysMost problems with Steam installs come from the fact that the folder structure is then different from the retail disc install. All the "managers" expect the paths to be the default ones. If they're not, the player has to make the config changes to get things working.
