davejfox
Hi guys, I'm pretty new to modding so please forgive any ignorance.I'm running a macbook with EW that I purcahsed from the App Store. I followed instructions to install the LW mod that I found here (it's different from the standard install for the Steam version) and the process seemed to complete successfully, no error message was given. However, upon playing it, I get the impression that it was not entirely successful. Here are some issues I've noticed: My rookies have 1% aim and 300+ will, is this normal?Fatigue doesn't seem to exist. I've seen screenshots of it displayed on the Soldier info / loadout screen, I'm not seeing it at all.Should interceptor experience be displayed anywhere? I've read that it exists in LW but everything about the Interceptor interface is exactly as before.Second Wave options seem exactly the same as in vanilla EW, with the exception of Strict Screening being there. In total I have 7 Second Wave options.Injury times are crazy, I have one solder who has a recovery time of just under six thousand days after receiving a hit from a plasma pistol. Has anybody else encountered any problems like the above? I'd be grateful for pointers. Thank you in advance :)
davejfox
Just to update this for anyone interested, I was able to change the paths of the installer file to line up with the app store version, however I think the installer fetches other files that have paths that I could not change, so I ended up with this weird install where it was half Long War half vanilla and lots of stuff was busted. All my troops had 1% aim, infinite will and a bunch of other problems. In the end, I uninstalled LW from the version of X-Com that I bought from the App Store, and re-purchased EW from the Steam Humble Bundle sale (they were selling it for 8 euro, bargain!) and the LW mod installed on that perfectly.
