Oblivion Mod File Help

I'm pretty new to TesNexus, I have bin around for 3 or so weeks and not use to downloading Mods. Most mods i download have a ''Texture'' and a ''Mashes'' File that I need to place in Oblivion Data File, Not a Problem on the 1st Mod, but with multi pull-mods you cant place both files inside the same file, unless you plane on replacing it, and i know people have tuns of them on at once I have herd that Oblivion Mod Manager can help with some mods, but when ever i use one it opens once then it goes to limited version and it Errors out for me. So I'm wondering how can I get these files to work sins i cannot rename them sins they will not work if i do so (I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot for this Post it seemed like the most likely spot)

EDIT:The mods have a read me and they work just fine, but I cant get Multi-pull Texture/Mashes files into the Oblivion Data folder, and if i don't have those files in there i cant use the mod. so it wont let me use more then one mod unless i change the name, but if i change the name for some reason the file just doesn't work like it should

Are you trying to get the mods to work in the game or are you trying to get them to the Oblivion Data Folder?

Edit: If you're trying to get the mods to work in-game, you have to launch Oblivion, go to Data Files, and check which mods you want to use in-game. If you're trying to get the downloaded files to show up on Data Files, just read the read-me that SHOULD come with the mods you download. I wouldn't recommend using mods that don't come with a read-me.

The contents of folders merge nicely. So when you are installing your second mod and it asks you if you want to merge the contents of your textures folder, say yes. The new textures for both the first mod and the second mod will then be there in the same folder for the game to refer to. (An exception would be if the mods include different versions of the same textures. Like if the first mod makes iron longswords really rusty and the second mod makes iron longswords really shiny and both are replacer rather than .esp dependent mods. Then the second texture you installed would win.) Edited by David Brasher
