Problem with Enchanting

Have started again after many months due to the excellent new content available. I am having a problem with enchanting: no problems with weapons but when I try to enchant armor, none of the runes show up in the box. I have added very little or no 'item content' since my last run some 10 months ago but have added several content mods and two new DLCs snce Return to Ostagar (which I delayed completing my game for back then). Is this a known bug/conflict? Is there a fix? Or does anyone have some advice? Thanks.

There is no "Enchantement" of armour in DA:O, only in DA:A (and beyond.)

Thank you; sp even though there are slots apparently available for runes on armor, they can't be filled with DA:O? If I get Awakening, does that make it possible to enchant armor in the base game? Thanks again for any help.

No. Armour cannot be enchanted in DA:O. (Well, there may be "a mod for that", but I haven't seen it. :laugh: )

I know this is an old thread, but I've come accross this same issue. It's definitely a mod, as it wasn't like this when I played through the game a few days ago. I'm pretty sure it's the "Awakening in the OC", but I'm not 100% positive as I've added more than one mod in that time, and I haven't found much mention of armor runes on that mod's Nexus page (granted, I haven't looked too hard yet.) It does, however, promote other mods pertaining to armor runes, so...

 

Has anyone figured this out?

I'd like to utilize these armor enchantment slots!

I've never used Awakening in the OC, but I have used Awakening Runes Fixes. The package has several different options for customization; I use the 'DWE HAL to armor - CIR SIL to weapon' files, which, in my opinion, is most logical and consistent over the course of both DAO and DAA; all Dweomer and Hale runes become armour enchants, and all Silverite and Cold Iron enchants can be slotted into weapons. (There's also Fixes for Awakening Runes Fixes, to add the rune slots to clothing items.)
