CommanderCrazy
Hey all. I have recently bought a new modem as my old one died, however it only really loads what pages it wants to. To expand, although I have a solid green connection 90% of web pages I try to load give me an error saying that Firefox cannot display the page. (Same with IE *shudder*) The new modem is a D-Link DSL-2642B. Very new, within one week of purchase.
TheTerminator2004
The first thing to check is whether the problem still occurs when using a wired connection to the router, or if it only happens when using wireless. Knowing that will help narrow it down a bit. Also if you can, try it using different computers and see if they al have the same problem. CommanderCrazy
I am using an Ethernet cable to connect it to my PC, and I have used another cable to connect it to my laptop.Current results. Using wireless is fine if I connect it to my phone, but wields the same results if I use wireless to the laptop. Basically, I dont think it likes my computers. Edited January 10, 2011 by CommanderCrazy

CommanderCrazy
Nah, the old modem is fine. I've updated the firmware and started using a static DNS, and I haven't had a problem. Yet...
