VinceBly
As I work on a quest mod, I realize I don't completely understand the difference between a current quest and the active quest. I know that when a quest is made active, all the log entries for that quest are listed, rather than just the most recent entry as listed for a current quest. Also, of course, the compass amd map markers are shown for the active quest. Other than this, how is a quest executed differently if it is the active quest rather than a current quest? For equal priorities, is there a difference in dialogue? Anything else? - Vince Bly -

I think that the active quest is the quest of which the questmarkers are on the compass, while a current quest is any quest that you have added to your journal, but you did not yet complete. VinceBly
Thanks, Povuholo. That was quick! I came back a few minutes after my initial post to correct my spelling of 'dialogue', and there was the answer I was looking for! I have found that the need to please the X-Box set has made Oblivion combat more frantic, and less enjoyable for me. But here is the CS, a rather complex software engine with only marginal documentation. I find that producing something useful and reliable with that is a more enjoyable game (at least sometimes). It's nice to know that there is help here when I really need it. - Vince Bly -
