Need Help with Item Detection

I have searched everywhere for a mod that would do what the dog (rex) perk does, but always... without having to go to "aim" mode (right mouse button)

 

i found the perk itself... "has improved item detection = 1"

 

i also managed to create a perk that i could use... that gave that same ability... which managed me to see glowing items that could be picked up or containers that contained good loot to pickup! (kinda like the glowing effect found in recent mmo or diablo when you have a corpse to loot)

 

the only problem is that I only see the effect while aiming any of my guns or zooming the cam (if no guns are present)... and i want the effect to be always...

 

Anyone have any suggestion?? That would be GREATLY appreciated!! :)

Thats what i tought...

 

So basically unless i am a guru of scripting (which i am not unfortunately), its going to be impossible to make the effect permanant?...

 

I was checking the Combat Assistant (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37502), and he manages to get the perk from boone to be on all the time... and even some variant for allies, ennemies, dead ennemies, etc... its really aweome (yet way too much intrusive than what i had in mind)

 

I only want to add a little Rpg/mmo flavor by having loot glow... thx for the answer though! :)

That's a pretty impressive mod. They way it's done will only work on actors, though. The only way I can think of to get containers to glow through script would be to use NVSE to do a ref-walk for containers, then apply an image modifier to them.
