iavor55
So I recently got back to Oblivion and decided to try out efficient leveling.I got the 10 skill points in speed, agility and endurance each (and one extra in restoration by mistake). The journal says I have 31 points total leveled up with 5 traning sessions ( I belive in acrobatics or athletics). Now when I level up (first level up for this character) I get +2 in speed and +3 in agility and endurance! WHAT THE HELL! I have the 1.2 patch by the way. WastelandAssassin
speed, agility and endurance are attributes, not skills now, the way the leveling system works is the following:you raise a level when you have leveled up 10 skillswhen you level up, you get to assign points to 3 attributeseach attributes is related to 3 skills, if i remember correctlynow, the amount of points you get to add to an attribute, depends on how many points the skills related to this attribute were increased that level i'll give you an example, to make some more senseArmorer is related to the Endurance attributeif you level 10 points in Armorer, you will get a +5 bonus to Endurance when you level upif you level up 8 points in Armorer, and 2 points let's say in Strength, you will get +4 points to Endurance, and probably a +2 to Strength this is how it worksand yeah, getting +5 bonuses is hard, unless you have a mod that changes the formula to always give you +5 (there is actually a mod that does this)
iavor55
From the wiki it says that as long as the combo of points gained to skills under the certain artribute is 10 or more you get a +5 to that artribute.I did that. For speed I did acrobatics and athletics, for agility I did sneak and security (I aways wondered why security is related to agility and not inteligence) and for endurance I did block and armorer (actualy did just 1 point for block by accident and decided to go another 9 for armorer!).I read the wiki and I can't find a single flaw in what I did.Oh and the amount of +# you get is simply the total of how much you increased the skills under the artribute devided by two (but can't go over a +5 bonus thus meaning that you overleveled it and have wasted the points). WastelandAssassin
i think it did this because it only counts the first 10 skills you level upnot sure about this, but it sounds like it does this, at least according to what you say if i understand what you said correctly, you have already raised 30 skill points, but have not leveled up once, and yet you only get the points for some of the skills you leveledso i think it really counts only the first 10 points you level up each level, so that now you can level up 3 times (theoretically, of course) check the Wiki again, i'm sure it says something about what i just said (it may confirm or deny it thought)
iavor55
This would not really make sence. Efficient leveling emplies getting 3x +5 bonueses. I luckly saved before I leveled.Maybe it's due to the fact that I haven't leved before.UPDATE:Wow. As I leveled I first got the previously mentioned bonuses (speed +2, agility + 3 and endurance +3) and then I was able to level AGAIN getting +2 willpower (because I got 1 point in restoration by accident!? o_O), +3 in speed, +2 in agility and +2 in endurance. So I double leveled for +2 willpower (wtf), 5 speed, agility and endurance. WastelandAssassin
that's exactly what i saidbecause if you only leveled up once, no matter if you leveled up 10 skill points or 100 skill points, that would really not allow you to get to a very high level so this is just how it works, just as i suspected :)
