Guest Tessera
Make sure you downloaded the correct package. Also, check and make sure you grabbed the full Windows installer version and not just the source code. I'm currently using version 0.9.4 of NifSkope and it works great, although it hogs memory like you wouldn't believe. If your system can't handle it, your problem might be that Nifskope is crashing on load, due to insufficient system resources. It's a fairly memory and CPU intensive application. SickleYield
Version 0.9.5 is out now, too. It's definitely a demanding appy - the CS and GIMP both crash a lot more often when I'm using it at the same time (but I do it anyway because I need it for modding). I have an Athlon 4000+ CPU and 1 gb of memory.
Dubious Cat
ok i downloaded 0.9.5 and it still doesnt work... i have 'administrative privaliges'... it worked for the first time a couple of days ago though. so i unpacked all the BSA stuff for the armour over robes tutorial, and it stopped working! i think that has something to do with it, so should i just unpack the BSA whenever i want to do a mod, copy the files i want over, then delete the BSA folder again? heres a link to the tutorials, i dont know if they'll be any use:http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...obes_-_Tutorialhttp://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...packer_Tutorial thanks for any help :D i'd really appreciate it

That may be a factor here.
GBHis
are there any other alternatives to nifskope?Yeah, sure... I use Hexplorer, but you can use any other hexer (hexeditor) as well.Even Notepad does the trick, but you gotta' be careful when changing bytes, so I recommend a hexer. On the other hand... If you can't figure out NifSkope, you prolly' won't be able to understand the other ^^
