webster63
has anyone modded the start screen so after you select play it goes straight to the start screen menu and skips the slideshow and music you have to wait thru to get there i would prefer to go straight to the stormtrooper screen as the only default image and skip the rest Edited January 11, 2011 by webster63
webster63
so with all the frequent CTD this game has, no one has made a mod to bypass the long slideshow you have to wait thru to restart the game?
KMA
You have to edit the INI file to decrease slide show time. Details on my webpage. You want to find fLoadingInitUpdateInterval and change it to 0.0. It will still show the slides, but the long delay between them will be shortened and clicking and hitting the spacebar (probably does not help but feels good), will get you there much faster. If you are getting CTDs more than 1 / hour you likely have some bad mods. Also make sure you have the extra RAM enabler or else you are limited to the amount of RAM in a console. If you need more help PM me. Too many threads, not enough time. Cheers!

Cheers! thank you, thats just what i was looking for  UPDATE: no joy  neither trick works (sound or slideshows) for new vegas so far the only small progress i made was if you delete the "main title.wav" file from the main game folder the first music for the startup option menu doesnt play but when the slideshow starts another sound file plays that same dramatic music again lol the ini file says its located in "sInitialSound=fx\ui\loadscreen\initial\ui_loadscreen_initial.wav" and deleting the stuff after "=" doesnt turn it off so maybe thats not even it but its the only thing in the loading section [Loading]sWelcomeScreen1=loading_screen_legalsWelcomeScreen2=loading_screen_bethsoftsWelcomeScreen3=loading_screen_BGSsWelcomeScreen4=loading_screen01sMainMenuBackground=main_backgroundsTitleMusic=MainTitlesInitialSound=fx\ui\loadscreen\initial\ui_loadscreen_initial.waviMaxScreens=4iMaxScreens_MainMenu=20fLoadingTextUpdateInterval=10.0000fLoadingBkgdUpdateInterval=10.0000fMainMenuBkgdUpdateInterval=10.0000fLoadingInitUpdateInterval=3.0000iNumLocationSpecificScreens=1 Edited January 23, 2011 by webster63
KMA
Let me guess. You edited the fallout_default.ini but did not run start the game with the launcher afterwards (just once, and then choosing quit from the main menu). You need to do that step so fallout_default.ini is copied over the other fallout.ini that they hid on your system (users/....). Make the changes again, and run the launcher and it will work. I am using it. Edited January 28, 2011 by KMA
