stebbinsd
My AVG Antivirus erroneously listed OBSE as malware and deleted it. Ok, it should be nothing for me to just re-download and re-install the OBSE, right? WRONG! As I try to move obse_loader.exe (the only file which was taken away by AVG) from my download folder to my Oblivion installation folder, it won't transfer the file. It says I have to give administrator credentials. I didn't even install the game inside Program Files, specifically to avoid this type of BS! How do I give administrator credentials on a computer I own, and nobody else uses besides me? For that matter, why aren't I automatically the administrator by default? Seriously, I'm the only account that this computer recognize! At the log-in page, my account is the only account you can even click on! Why aren't I the administrator by default? EDIT: Actually, scratch that last paragraph. I went to Control Panel > User Accounts > User Accounts > Change User Account Type, and I found out that my default account IS the administrator account! So, my inability to transfer the executable file to my Oblivion folder mow makes even less sense! EDIT: Ok, I also tried adding OBSE as an exception. I told AVG to not scan that software anywhere, even as it's transfered to new folders. And guess what? I STILL can't transfer the file to my Oblivion folder!
