bryman1970
I've made a patch to make Suran Underworld and Suran Waterfront compatible with each other by lowering the terrain and replacing the Suran Underworld .esp with this one. Or so I had hoped. It seems that when I test this patch out, Suran Underworld raises the terrain back to the way it normally is, basically covering a good amount of the waterfront mod. I have the patch last in my load order. I thought that would make a difference. I could have sworn I tested this before and it seemed to work fine. I wasn't sure if the patch had to be dependant on anything, such as the waterfront mod. It's not at the moment. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to that aspect of modding. I was wondering if somehow the waterfront mod is overriding any changes to the patch i've made. Can anyone tell me how to make this patch override the terrain changes in the waterfront mod, but still allow the latter to be used? Maybe I have to have the patch dependant on the waterfront mod? Or vice versa? I'm confused, obviously. I have the patch posted on Planet Elderscrolls, and I can imagine how many people have pulled their hair out thinking this would fix the problem, only to find it didn't do anything at all. Here's the link to the patch: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8719 Edited January 12, 2011 by bryman1970
Tchos
Does it work correctly if you start a new game? In some of my Morrowind modding, I found that if I modded something in a place where I'd been recently, moving an item, for instance, sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't, but it worked in a new game. bryman1970
Well, for testing purposes, I did start a new game, I was also using a little mod by Trunksbomb that skips trhe character generation section and transports the player right to the center of Seyda Neen. Once there, I used to console to reach that area. I know I had this working before, I just started a new game using that same methond. I have the patch last, after the Suran Waterfront mod and it 's still not working correctly. I know this was the method I had used before to test, and everything seemed ok. Tchos
Well, I hope someone else can help. That was my only idea.
bryman1970
Well thank you for stopping in anyway. Someone should know what's going on. Edit: I thikn lack of sleep has got the best of me. It wasn't this patch that allowed the two mods to work together, but another patch which actually lowered the landscape. I had not been clear in my descriptions here as well as in the mod description. D''OH!! :whistling: Edited January 13, 2011 by bryman1970
