Help Converting Robert's Female Textures to HGEC

Greetings all,

I am interested in getting guidance from experienced modders about the possibility of converting Robert's Female Body textures to fix the HGEC body. This is strictly for personal use, not to be uploaded. I have no desire to infringe on anybody else's work without permission. I use the HGEC body because I both like it and it is probably the most prevalently used female body mod for the game. However, some very great work has been done utilizing the Robert's Female Body and if possible, I would like to employ these textures into my personal mods. However, because the textures do not match the meshes, the textures appear twisted in the game.

So my question are, "Is it possible to covert the textures designed for Robert's Female to fit the HGEC meshes to avoid the distortion and how would I go about doing it (if it is not ridiculously difficult or overly time consuming)?"

Thanks is advance for any guidance and assistance in this project!

The workflow would be:

Export the UV maps of the HGEC body.

In Photoshop or Gimp, paste those UV's over the Robert's texture.

Manipulate the texture around beneath the UV's.

Does anything there not make sense? Do you know what a UV map is?

First, thank you both for taking the time to respond to my post.

As far as the UV map Megatarius, I have a rough idea what it is. So, I think/hope I can figure it out. I am still in the early stages of learning to mod Oblivion and little projects like this are indispensable at learning new skills. Besides regardless of whichever body I choose as my primary choice, if I do not learn to incorporate the textures of the other types, I will lose out on some really super work. Thanks very much again for your help!
