Need help with rigging something.

Hello, everyone, I'm Thumblesteen. I looked everywhere around the forums for a request area and found none. So I hope it's fine to ask for help here. I'm working on my second mod. Some of you may have played my overhaul for Fallout 3, and now I'm making something new. Hopefully I can publish it soon enough. Sadly, I only know scripts, and gecking in general. I do know how to do some bug fixes on models in nifskope, but rigging is something I can't do. So I hope someone might be willing to help me. It's just the one mesh. Namely, this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/52201/? It's intended to be rigged to the robobrain, as the images suggest. Might also need a projectile node, not sure.

 

I know rigging is a lot of hard work, and I feel bad for asking. But I'm out of options. As a small reward, I've decided that the good Samaritan who will do me this favour will be referenced in the mod as the inventor of this new mobile turret. As well as a mention in the credits, of course. I wish I could offer more, but, such is life, I suppose.

Going to hate myself for posting but.

 

When you say publish it soon enough, how soon? I can do it but IMO it will require a custom skeleton and animation files made from scratch to function properly, I'm pretty busy with my fingers in way too many modding projects at the moment so if your prepared to wait then I can get it done.

I mean soon in developer's terms. So, maybe around October? Possibly within the season? I'm currently working on a faction mod, with it's own main questline, similar to that of the Legion and NCR. So that'll keep me busy for a bit. But if you're busy I understand if you put it on low priority, I'd be grateful either way.

 

Although I thought that it could just be glued on to the robobrain and have it look a bit stiff when it animates and that would be that.

That's okay just so long as it wasn't next week then it's fine. The thing about the custom skeleton is that you will need the projectile node located in the right spot or you will get bullets and muzzle flash effects coming from the wrong place. The only tricky bit is doing the track but I can most likely pinch that part of the animation sequences from the Robobrain, the rest would be a pretty straight forward simple skeleton and you only need one set of weapon animations.

Ah, didn't realise the projectile node was attached to the skeleton. Although, to be fair, I'm utterly clueless about this subject. I take nothing for granted, since, that's not very nice. But if you do find the time to do this, it would help out a lot. Thank you.
