Block Animation Malfunction

There's a bug that is persisting on re-installs (with no mods).

 

Every successful block has the animation for a shield break, so every hit drops the shield and plays the pain sound.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? It's very hard to find information on this, the only known case of this bug I could find was in 2011.

 

 

On a laptop, so here's some basic info on it if necessary

Windows 7

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

Intel Core i7-4710MQ 2.5 GHz

16 GB Ram
