HD Audio Overhaul - v1_2 install

I'm trying to install this pack exactly as it says. I am merging the two folders but it asks if I want to overwrite the original files. The info file says that is not suppose to happen. All of the other mods and files I installed work perfectly. What could I be doing wrong?

Do you have any other audio enhancer mod?

Are you sure it isnt only asking you to merge subfolders?

You could copy only the sound files and place then directly at the corresponding folder.

 

Or

 

If you are afraid to overwrite the original files, you could create an omod with fallout mod manager, then if you want to restore the original ones you only need to deactivate the omod.

The only other sound mod I have is gun shots.

When I tried to replace the old sound files with new ones it did not play at all.

 

edit: Figured it out. I didn't have FOSE installed, only FOMM.
