flazzmoral
I recently felt like making a enchanted glass longsword with a paryilisis effect, as there is a slight (extreme) lack of such weapons in Oblivion. So here I go, make the sword, name it, place it, activate mod, play game, get sword, sword isn't enchanted. So I say "wth?" and redo the process, changing something I forgot which may have done it, giving myself a pat on the back as I load the game again only to find that it hadn't worked yet. So, if anyone has had/having this problem, and you know the solution, let me know :). Also, as for recolouring the sword...I don't even know where to start, so if someone can set me off in the right direction with that, i'd give extra props to you. (I have GIMP.) flazzmoral
Fixed my own problem. If anyone out there has this problem as well... When creating your enchantment(s), there will be a box with a check in it called "auto-calculate", uncheck that box and in the newly available text box, replace the previous number there with a lower number, such as 10. Then, once your weapon is applied with the enchantment, there will be a text box that says "enchantment power" or something along that lines, I just closed my editor, anyways, using the 10 from above, if you put 100 in the text box, you ingame weapon will have 10 uses. So make sure, your number is always equal-to-or-greater-than your enchantment's cost. Otherwise, you'll have no uses in your weapon.
Orly737
My problem is that the damn things don't want to show up!
flazzmoral
My problem is that the damn things don't want to show up! Have you placed them in the worldspace somewhere? I chose for my sword to be located upstairs in the abandoned house of Skimgrad, I belive his name started with an N.... I'm having a hard time remembering stuff atm, sorry, anyways, I placed it on the table. The point is, choose a place you know and can easily acess, such as randomly in the street of IC. (I'll tell you now, interiors are SO much easier to find in the editor.) and drag the weapons name to the render window. If you have done all of the above, is your mod activated? When you launch Oblivion, click on the data files button, and put an X in the box by your mod. Hope I helped.
