Ok so i am trying to make a custom mod for myself using the tes construction set. The mod specifically consists of a combination of other mods. I am trying to get it to work but every time I save it when i enter the imperial prison where the items are supposed to be they do not appear. I remember back in the day about 2 years ago that you had to i believe merge the prior mods in order to get a mod such as this working i was wondering if someone could help me out with this, thanks in advanced.

i assume you activated it and its other necessary counterparts, which leaves another thing that pops into my mind. Where did you install oblivion to, if it is in your program files, then you cannot create new mods although you can use downloaded mods

Did you properly merge the mods with TES4 Gecko, which is the easiest method?

If you manually merge bits and pieces of mods in the CS, then you need to give everything that you use a new form ID so that it will exist in your new mod rather than just in the mod it came from. For example, you want a shield from mod A in your new mod. You can't just drag it and drop it into the render window. It won't be there when you load your game with your new mod activated. You would need to give the shield a new form ID in your new mod. Then you can put as many copies of it everywhere you want even with the original mod turned off in the CS and OBMM.

A more complicated method is using Wrye Bash and the CS and perhaps other tools to create a mastered patch mod. (Avoid that if all possible. It is not as fun as it sounds.)
