Odd CTD Troubleshooting In the High Hrothgar Courtyard

Hiya, guys!

 

Now, then, enough of the formalities. I am in dire need of assistance, as I have a slight problem with Skyrim.

 

Just to put it out there first and foremost; I use the most recent version of the Requiem overhaul along with a ton of other mods.

 

Here's the jist of it:

When I go to High Hrothgar during the main story's "Throat of the World" quest, I am met with a sudden crash upon exiting to the courtyard. The loading screen usually takes about a minute to finish when going there, but this new crash cuts that load time in half and takes me to the desktop where I wait for Windows to terminate the malfunctioning Skyrim process; lovely!

 

Of course, I am no stranger to the infamous CTD; I just recently began cleaning my plugins and masters. I only started using Wyre Bash a few days ago, too. During my time in the dark recesses of uncleaned-and-unbashed Skyrim, I found that most CTD situations simply took me straight to the desktop without warning; that's how I knew it was a normal CTD - as in being directly mod-related. However, in this new and hilariously fun High Hrothgar thing, I get a message from Windows stating that "Skyrim.exe has stopped working." Odd, to me.

 

Here's a small list of the things I've tried and what I've narrowed down.

 

 

• I have confirmed that it is not my save file by creating a completely new save centering on the cell (coc via console), "ThroatoftheWorld02," and traversing down to High Hrothgar after toggling collision. The result was the same CTD.
• Using the console, I have confirmed that Paarthurnax himself is not the cause of the crash, since spawning him created no such issue.
• I have used the Skyrim Save Tool to clean nasty bits from my save to no avail in this problem.
• I have used BOSS to order my plugins (I actually always do that, with a little editing), used Wyre Bash to make a patch as best instructed for use with Requiem, and ran the SkyProc reqtificator to generate the "Requiem for the Indifferent" plugin - in that order. Refer to my load order below for more details.
• I have used TES5Edit to clean "Update.esm," "Dawnguard.esm," "Hearthfires.esm," and "Dragonborn.esm."

Dual-core Intel Celeron CPU N2840 @2.16GHz - 2.55GHz (I know - ouch. It's a budget PC, man, don't poke fun.)

4.0GB RAM

Intel HD Graphics (1366 x 768)

 

 

 

If this isn't enough info for a resolution, just ask and I'll fill in as much as I can.

If there's no help for it, I guess I'll just avoid High Hrothgar's courtyard and the Throat of the World at all costs.

I was having the same issue, but during "the horn of jurgen windcaller" Turns out it was my companion causing ctd, don't know why tho.

 

Told him to wait outside High Hrothgar, near the chest, and then proceded with the quest on my own.

 

Everything went just fine.

I know it might be a little to late, but still it might be useful for those having a similar problem.

Which companion was it ? I assume its a modded companion like inigo or are you using aft (amazing follower tweak)
