Big Red Diamon Exclamation marks....

Not sure which mod is causing it, but for some reason all the new npc's that have been added all have giant red diamonds over them with a white exclamation mark down the center...The npcs work when you talk to them and all, but it obviously doesnt look right. Some of the new mods i have installed are like the Bettsy companion, the new vegas bounties is another one....these are obviously character npc's that were made for these mods. what i dont know or cant figure out is what other mod or setting could be causing the big red diamond/exclamation points on them.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you've installed your textures and everything to the correct location. Typically the red diamond with the exclamation point is telling you that the textures cannot be found (or is it the mesh files?). Either way, be sure everything is installed correctly and the file structure wasn't changed when you moved the mod files to your DATA folder. If you haven't already, get the ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated utility and run that just in case.

Hope that helps.

Oh, also check your load order in Fallout Mod Manager. If there is a conflict with another mod, changing your load order could potentially fix this problem. Mods lower on the list override mods above them.

how tf do i even do that!?

Try being a little more explicit about what your problem is. This isn't Twitter. Use more that 140 characters to describe what you've tried and what is confusing. We aren't mind readers.

For starters, what mod manager are you using?

It's always useful to post your Load Order (in "Spoiler" tags. Use the "Special BBCode" button in the Forum "Reply" menu bar as the third icon from the left in the top row, next to and left of the "Font" pick-list field). Screenshots are not the best way to convey your LO, because they usually can't include everything in one image. LOOT can copy your LO into a list suitable for posting on forums. (It's under the ":" with three dots to the extreme right in it's menu bar.) Most "mod managers" have a similar "LO List" capability. But the total number of mods you have installed in the DATA folder is also important, because even inactive plugins are counted against the so-called "140 cap".

Please see the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

If that is not sufficient to resolve your problem, please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article.

It doesn't matter what kind of object is missing a mesh or texture file. They manifest in the game the same way. Please see 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. The only "exception" is with missing "billboard" textures: FNVLODGen causes those to be displayed with a "green" billboard surface instead.

If you don't have any of obvious markers listed, then you are not missing any mesh or texture files. That is not to say you can't have the wrong versions of those files for an intended purpose. Such tend to be the result of a mod conflict where the same file names are used and "install order" has cause the wrong file to overwrite and become "the winner".
