Blender Modified outfit crashes game on equip

I hope this is the last issue I run across, as I'm almost finishing porting over all the things I like from FO3.

There's one outfit I want to modify a little, but if I put it into and out of blender at all it crashes the game on equip. That's even if I just import it and then export it again making no changes at all (I tested).

Looking at the nif file in nifskope, I've come up with a theory at least on what the problem is, but even if correct I have no idea how to resolve it. On the exported nif, the texture path on several of the blocks has no number in front of it. I can still show the block and change the textures, and the numbers still move sequentially along like they're supposed to, just skipping the blank one. I can't see any other reason for the problem.

If anybody knows how I could resolve this, or has an idea on the real problem if my theory is wrong, I'd appreciate it.

Hi!

I think the best way for you to solve your problem is to open the unaltered fo3 nif and the edited one you exported from blender side by side in nifskope and examine it carefully.

If there are differences then you will know what is causing your problem!

That's what I've been doing, and what I posted above is really the only difference.

I have a question for you, what program are you using to modify the outfit(Besides NifSkope);

Double check the settings your using to export the file as nif and see if theres an error somewhere around there.

Edit: Just saw you were using blender

Ah, one more difference. Apparently blender added in a new scene root.

So the file archive was:

sceneroot 0

--- sceneroot 00

And then continued. Deleting that duplicate sceneroot fixed the issue.

(Apparently, my pattern here is that I have to post once before I can solve my own problem :confused: )
