You definitely don't have to pay again. You also definitely want to get patched to version 1.04, but that's for later.

Sounds like the game did not re-install correctly, since DAUpdater is a normal part of the basic installation process.

I would:

a) Copy your entire "|[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age" folder (which will include your DLC, mods, and saved games and characters) to another location.

b) Do a full UN-/RE-install from scratch.

c) Start the game and make sure you can log-in to the EA servers, then exit the game.

d) Check that you can start DAUpdater at that point, then close it.

e) Paste your "|[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age" folder back where it belongs.

f) Start the game again and go the "Downloadable Content" menu. Check what's listed under both the "Installed" and the "Available Content" screens.

You might have to re-download something, but you won't have to pay for anything again.

Let us know how it goes!

it worked :D

thank you Thandal

just one more question how do i update my game now to Version 1.03

So glad you were able to get back to slaying Darkspawn!

Getting patched to version 1.03 is a bit tricky, since BioWare does not leave the links to PREVIOUS patches on its site. You can google for other game sites that might have a copy. But honestly, unless you use some very specific elements in the Advanced Tactics (AT) mod, or know of some other special reason you don't want to, I'd go to the latest patch (1.04) anyway.

I just happen to have the direct link right here: "DA Patch 1.04", because another player needed it.
