biodtox
Apparently there is something wrong with save importing. Letho is considered dead, even if he was spared in W2. I noticed it when I was so far in game (even though that quest is not far into game) that replaying without save import would really hurt (even with cheats like God mode). So, is this possible? Sukhoier
+1 to the request. Happened exactly the same. In my case, I think I loaded a wrong file, as it was a quicksave just before having to deal with him (thought it was just after). And, for some reason, the game decided to get his own choice instead of asking.
biodtox
Hm, now when I think about it I loaded quicksave too. It was latest file though. Oh come bloody on, it's like with Mass Effect but worse.
Outkas
I've been told that the game does not save after choosing the fate of Letho, so when importing a save he is automatically assumed dead. The only way to see him and his side quest is to simulate the save and choose the "let letho live" option in the dialogue at the end of the prologue. While this does suck, there really wasn't any reward in importing your save anyway, not like in W2. Also the side quest is short and lack luster. Sukhoier
Start a new game and check if the quicksave was the last in time indeed or just the last in the list. To me, at some point the list didn't follow the save timeline, so I thought it was the last one I made when it was not. I've been trying to decode the .sav with some Hex editor, and despite I didn't manage to fix anything, I found the last save I had, which was an Autosave, included an extra line like "lethosalive", along with the rest of imported options (Iorveth's path, Triss...). The quicksave didn't. So, if you have this one, it should include Letho. I don't know what to do now, I don't expect CDPR to help us anyway, got 30 hours of play but Letho may have some important weight in the ending. I suppose I'll end up starting a new game... somewhen. :(
biodtox
I'm 60 hours into the game so starting new game is out of the question. I miss Skyrim and it's cheats. biodtox
Also, if list being wrong is true then CDPR should help us because it is partialy their fault. Anyway, I think there should be "debugging" NPC that checks your decisions.

Anyway, I think there should be "debugging" NPC that checks your decisions. To me it's almost fully their fault. OK, I loaded an "incomplete" save file, but if there was something missing, that Nilfgaard commander should have asked us about any open path there, as you said. It's obvious that we imported a save from TW2 because we wanted the story to follow what we did there. Auto-filling choices as default seems quite a big fail by them, even more when that makes you lose new storylines (I suppose you can always kill Letho again in TW3 by no helping him, so no big deal in the end, if you wanted it that way), and there wasn't any sort of advice like "hey, these are your loaded choices, do you agree?" either. If they fix it wouldn't be hard for them to help us, I'm sure they can edit any save file easily. I sent them my last quicksave explaning the facts. Still waiting for an answer, though. Weekend will make things go slower.
biodtox
So, I've found something interesting. Letho doesn't spawn even when using console command ... unless you type in witcher instead of letho. This spawns lvl 1 nameless NPC that looks like Letho.

This spawns lvl 1 nameless NPC that looks like Letho.Seems Seems a good beginning to me. xD By the way, Tech Support answered me. And... basically, they recommended me to import savegames created after Loc Muinne, as they don't know if others would work properly (as if there aren't enough topics about this around there). And that's all, no sign of any further help on sight. However, they thanked me for the feedback, so maybe they will add something to avoid this issue to other players. If you manage to get something, please share it here, I've already forced myself to leave the thing back and go on with the story. I'll discover what I'm missing by playing a second hand... or simply through YouTube.
