Moganza
It's been a while since i've played oblivion and to be honest i've never really finished it. I feel ashamed so now i've come back and i want to finish it. I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good mix of graphics mods to make the visuals look better. I've heard of godrays and graphics extender but not sure what to do with. Also if there are any other other mods that make the experience more immersion please tell me (i've heard OOO is good or is it OO?) All in all i would really like to know what you've added to make it better. I don't however want any mods that add things like new weapons or spells. I do like mods which change aesthetics, leveling and features however (but only if it improves the experience) I know this isn't something easy to ask please but share your views :) Thanks
TodaY
This is your lucky day - I made a whole site on graphics: Oblivion Visual Overhaul I'm assuming you're new to mods and modding. In this spoiler is usefull stuff for beginners. If youre experienced, dont click the spoiler button But! Before you get modding grab the lastest Official Patchand Unofficial Patch I sincerely recommend you download OBMM to install your mods.If you install a lot of mods use BOSS to sort them so they won't cause issues in your game. Use Boss from +10 esp files.Wrye bash is one of the more complicated tools out there, but the only function you need (and you do NEED it if you get mods like OOO) is the bashed patch. Right-click the patch, select rebuild, and select all options suggested by BOSS for you. Easy and painless. One last thing is OBSE which is something some mods require. All of these utilities have good documentation explaining you how to use them, so if you're stuck, try the readme or google knows all. Some mods I can't play without areOOO (Adds new items, rebalances the leveling system, lots of features, high compability) If it looks like this site is asking you to pay when you click download, it isn't, there is a very small button that says continue for free.Cobl More of a resource mod, but it's effect ingame is still very noticable. I love it.One last mod, though a bit instable, is Craftybits. Just try it, you'll love it. Hope I helped :) Edited January 18, 2011 by TodaY
