BlackHat91
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I figured I would have the best chance at getting an answer here. I recently re-installed Skyrim and NMM, but NMM does not recognize the DLC .esm files as being there. They are in the folder, I have verified integrity on steam, and even played them without any mods installed, but NMM will not acknowledge their existence... Skyrim is in the default path (program files/steam/etc) but this has never been an issue before, so I don't know why suddenly it would cause this. I was forced to upgrade to Win8 prior to the reinstall, and all my experience prior has been on 7, so is it a Windows 8 issue? EDIT: Reinstalled Skyrim outside Program Files, no dice... Beginning to think Win8 is the problem EDIT2: Fixed it. Apparently, for some reason, I needed to install NMM Legacy first, then install NMM for Win8 before it would recognize the files. LinusRaymond
I have the same problem now. But I`m on Windows 7. Anyone have fix for this?Might just use Mod Orginzer instead.
LaVolpe9396
Just tried the fix in the first post and two of the three DLC.esm are showing up butt HearthFires still refuses to show up.I have tried a fresh install of NMM and a fresh install of Skyrim with the DLC
TekkWiz
Same here, As with LaVolpe 9396 I have my HearthFires.esm missing. I have never had the problem of the other two DLCs missing. It just happened to me tonight. I have been looking around in my files with everything related Skyrim/NMM. There is one file right here "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Skyrim" called Plugins.txt that keeps changing without me changing it. But it has been missing the HearthFires.esm name on it. I think it has nothing to do with it but I thought I would mention that.
HeArTBeaT15
Use Mod Organizer, its much better trust me.Lets you combine mods, updating mods is easier , and if you ever screwed up at modding you dont have to re-install skyrim, you just change the profile and try again, since the mods are not installed in the skyrim data folder , so they don't overwrite anything. XFerence
I had this issue yesterday. What solved the problem for me was to let LOOT sort the loadorder. As expected it would warn me that the masterfiles from the DLCs where mising. However they finally showed up again in NMM.

DiabeetoX
Hi. So ive played skyrim my whole life and finally wanted to start modding. ive modded skyrim before with vortex, and it worked. But now im using Skyrim special edition and it was recommended that i use Mod organizer 2. So i followed a youtube instructional video and did everything exactly as he did, but there are several issues. My dawnguard esm is in the plugins right panel side, but not hearthfire or dragonborn yet i can play both of the missing dlcs in the game. Now im a big werewolf guy and downloaded moonlight tales but it says its missing its master esm dragonborn, as well as the skyrim special edition unoffical patch mod but thats missing hearthfire. Both DLCs are not on the right side. Now i can still run the game from mod organizer but as soon as i load in a message appears on the screen that says SkyUI is not running properly and make sure to check that i have the most updated version of SKSE which i do. Hearthfire and Dragonborn are both in my data file for Skyrim Special edition but dont show up in the plugins tab on mod organizer, but dawnguard does for some odd reason. Ive ran skyrim to maybe see if it had to load the DLCs in game and see if they came up after but didnt work, ive verified the integrity files twice and nothing happened. Please help me im clueless to this stuff and im getting frustrated EDIT: i also just opened loot and tried to sort the plugins from there. even then the only things that i can clean are dawnguard and some textures Edited August 9, 2021 by DiabeetoX
