G.E.C.K. Merging Problems

CHMS

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

I want to merge 2 (or more) ESP Files with G.E.C.K.

Within G.E.C.K. it all works fine - All contents are there.

But when I reload the File there's content missing.

The two ways I tried:

1) In the open dialog I mark ESP1 and ESP2 for loading and set ESP2 as active.

Contents of 1 and 2 are shown.

Saving will do as ESP2 (because active) but when reloading the contents of ESP1 are gone.

2) I mark ESP1 and ESP2 for loading and mark none of them as active.

Again both contents are there.

Saving asks me for filename, so I save as ESP3.

When reloading ESP3 everything is gone.

Anyone has a solution for this please?

Try tessnip. It already comes with fomm. Simply rightclick on your .esp in the loadorder

and you will see.

PS: Tho i am positive, you cannot copy all of the entries with tessnip without atleast having some mismatch goin on. For example anything from the [CONT] category is likely to give your custom containers messed up content. Dunno why that is, but that is the way it (still) is.
