HSovieticus
So I've got blender and have been toying around with it, and now I want to import fallout .nif files. I tried to install Blender NIF Scripts 2.5.5.9, but it tells me that I need Python version 2.6 as well as PyFFI. So I downloaded and installed Python version 2.7.1, downloaded and installed PyFFI version 2.1.6, and then tried to install NIF Scripts. It says the same thing. So I downloaded the .zip archive and extracted the "scripts" folder into my blender "scripts" folder. Opened blender and tried to import a .nif file, but it says "Python script error; check console." So I checked the console and here it is. Don't know what it means, but maybe it will help. Maybe I should also say that I have blender installed at "C:\Blender Foundation\Blender," not in the program files directory. EDIT: I got the NIF Scripts .exe to work. Maybe because I installed blender into program files, or maybe because I used an older version of Python and PyFFI. Not sure. EDIT: I also got a .nif file to load. Should there be textures? EDIT: Got the textures working too. Edited January 19, 2011 by HSovieticus
