SilverAxe001
I'd like a mod that makes armors sellable. I simply abandon old armor instead of selling it, what a waste. To have a new armor I must pay 5000, that's a lot, so I wish to sell it when I need it no more. Please may somebody makes such mod.
QuanYin
The Convenient Shopkeeper mod effectively allows you to do this. However her inventory can fill up and when it does, it reportedly will start crashing your game if you keep trying to sell to her (don't sell to her anymore is the only solution I know of). The developer gives no instructions for how to uninstall her, either, and at least in my case, trying to remove the mod (I got it packaged in Many Items) crashes my game on startup. So 2 caveats - one is that once you have her, you seem to be stuck with her. And 2 is you should not use her to sell many items to because once you fill her inventory she will also crash your game the next time you try to sell her a weapon or armor. Small one block items don't seem to cause the crash, or at least they don't cause it as soon. I hope the Witcher 2 & 3 don't have such a backwards inventory/shopkeeper system. The shopkeepers should never fill up their inventory and crash the game. This is a feature of the way Witcher 1 was coded, not the fault of the developer - though she should have given instructions for how to remove her mods. I have several of them and not a single one includes uninstallation instructions that I can find. Not in the readme files, for sure. SilverAxe001
If this mod is so unreliable, then I won't risk it. I still ask for a mod that helps me to sell armors to smiths or weapon sellers.
BlickJustice
I had to check in-game because I didn't remember one couldn't sell armours, but well, it is so indeed. On the other hand it has its positives- in the next games, the vanilla TW3 especially, there is too much acting a merchant, with dozens of swords, armours and ingredients to sell- in TW1 one can focus on the story more and feel more immersive- in the books, the witcher doesn't change his clothes or swords every page, TW1 with its modest armour and weapons availability plays to that tone rather well. But, from a gameplay perspective- it would certainly not hurt to be able to sell our default jacket when we buy the expensive reinforced one, that's right. EDIT: I was reading through Full Combat Rebalance 1.6 readme and came across a note that one can sell their previous armour in this mod.
