Mixing two different skintones?

Hey guys, I've got a quick question. I've seen so many posts/images where people have mixed two different skintones together to create a unique look. I was wondering if there was a tutorial anywhere for this, or if someone could give a quick rundown on how they do it? I've searched endlessly and, unless I've missed something, I've turned up nothing of use.

Much appreciated, thank you ^_^

An example might help but I'd say it's nothing more special than a lot of time spent in racemenu fiddling with the sliders.

Well, for example if you go to Bijin Wives: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63473/? you can take a look at Ysolda ( http://static-1.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/63473-3-1425727386.jpg). Going by the credits and my close inspection of her femalehead file, it seems to be a mix of SG textures and Real Girls. It's softer than real girls with different parts around the eyes, but still keeps true to the real girls look. How does one do this?

EDIT: Here is a side-by-side comparison, apologies for the picture size. Real girls on the left, Ysolda's altered skin on the right.

Alright that explains a lot.

First: skin tone is a slider in the character creation. Even with mods like Racemenu there's no such thing as "blended skin tones" as it's all controlled with sliders that are entirely up to the player.

Second: Skin texture is a .dds file that can be edited in an image editing program like GIMP or Photoshop - and that is what is being blended in those shots.

It's easy enough to replicate with skill in either program. You'd have to load both textures into the image editing program of your choice, layer them over as one image and then work with masks to create a seamless blend between the two. Then save the file as .dds and make sure to name it exactly the same as the other face textures and move the new texture into the appropriate sub-directory in your textures folder. It's not too difficult to do. Good luck.

Okay that answers it 100%, thank you very much. I've never used image-editing programs to this extent before so it'll be tricky to learn, I'd think. But thank you, I'll give it a go!
