Help rectifying money increase mod

Hi All,

As you can see I'm new to this. Having played and completed DAO several times on the XBox I've bought it for the PC with the prime intention of utilising mods. I've used one of the standard codes "runscript zz_money XX" trouble is it has actually dwindled my funds and has rendered me unable to make money any in game (only have coppers and they're in minus figures despite selling loads of stuff!!). Maybe it's a sign from the Maker that I shouldn't have been so greedy, but is there any way to debug this? The code is working in the main screen ie. it is clearly showing that I've received an increase in funds- however it is not being transferred to my inventory (it's actually depleting it)!!

I would sincerely appreciate it if anyone with more knowledge of such things could help me :)

Heyas ClaireyFox, welcome to the nexus!

Ok, what you have got here, is a bug in the game. When your money value exceeds 999,000 this bug appears, because the game isn't written to exceed that amount.

What you can try to do is use DA Beguiler- http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=205 to remove some of the cash to drop it down to a reasonable amount that the bug doesn't affect.

Short of that you've only got three options. 1) use a savegame prior to when you used the console code to increase your money. 2) Do a savegame edit in the toolset to change the amount of cash that your character has. This has a couple of drawbacks tho. A) A lot of people can't get the toolset to work. B) The toolset can't open larger savegame files, because it crashes when it tries to do so :verymad:

and 3) Start over a new game. Which really sucks.

Now, beguiler does require a skill point to activate it.
