Can't grab my static mesh in the editor

When i first drop it into the editor it has a perfect box around it like any object, but if i then try clicking on it, the editor doesnt seem to find what i'm clicking on and it just deselects it. I've tried dropping it a several places, clicking everywhere on the mesh, but not luck.

 

Any ideas? I'm familiar with NifSkope and Blender.

Edit: nvm, i figured it out, changed the .nif from a NiNode to a BSFadeNode, now i can suddenly select it. The Blender script defaults to exporting it like this it seems, and it doesnt work with New Vegas..
