Lgm1 Posted June 1, 2015 Share Posted June 1, 2015 I can find plenty of mods that dynamically apply the protection flag but next to none that remove it. While the game has a setessential command it lacks a setprotected command. The protected setting is incredibly annoying: essential makes an NPC that's needed for a quest immortal, but protected allows you, and only you, to kill them. This, by definition, means they can be killed without breaking the game (because you can do it) and don't need to be shielded from being killed.While there are a few mods that strip protection from vanilla, mods keep, by design or by conflict, putting protection back in. What I'd love to exist is a mod that allows you to manually remove the protected flag ingame the way UFO does (UFO's functionality for it was great but I'd have to switch to UFO to use it) or even better a cloak spell that dynamically strips it from everyone you meet.
