Euclid
Hi all, I've browsed the Nexus but could not find what I'm after. #1 It is so immersion breaking to be forced to listening to the hero's comments like "Allright - allright", "And thus I cloak...." etc.. Is there any way to shut him up? I have found a mod that prevents the "ladder" comment but this is not enough. He shouldn't say anything when opening a box, chest or door etc.; the only exception is (for rogues) "trap detected" - that's fine. #2 In the tactic settings for Origins there are options "use most powerfull...." for mana and health. For Awakening I'd like to see the same option for stamina. Instead I have to click "use item" and select whatever stamina pot is available. Also if your inventory list is rather long then sometimes you cannot select the stm pot because the scrolldown range is limited. Please advise. Just re-name the ".ss" file that your Warden is using to something invalid. Since the pointer in your ".das" (saved game) will now be to a non-existent sound set, the hero is mute.
Euclid
Thanks for the fast response, Thandal. Being a mod noob I wonder where in my das file I would find the voice reference and also I cannot find any ss files (are they packed?). DarkeWolf
please keep in mind that I'm quoting this from memory, so it may not be 100% accurate. Very sorry about that.I BELIEVE that the ss listing is under Appearance. Appearance can be found under savegame_PlayerChar/savegame_playerchar_char. The SS files themselves are indeed packed up within .esm files. However, I have not, as of this time, found any program which is capable of opening them, much less edit them, once they have been extracted. I'm sure that new ones can be made, as they have made new dialogs and whatnot for npcs. I just dont know how :confused:And unfortunately, at this time I dont have the gamefiles on this computer, so I can't go back and doublecheck which .esm files they are in. I know that they are located in your install directory of dragon age tho. IE the folder that dragon age itself was installed to. Sorry for not being more help :(
Thandal
Oh man, I forgot! (Was speaking from memory as well...) What I should have said was: Using the Toolset, you can open your saved game and change the "Hero Voice" entry in your ".das" file to point to a non-existent ".ss" file as a way to silence your Warden. Done it. Worked. (Well, it didn't, really. I was trying to give my Warden Sigrun's voice and instead got Marcel Marceau's!)
