How Do I Compile .esp files?

Hello everyone, I am new to the whole Fall out modding scene and I have tried to search for a noob tutorial and everything but I kept getting errors on the search so I thought I would ask in a thread instead. I am actually modding on my PC Now (Not my PS3 anymore since its "illegal" to modify a save file), so I already have things like Cheat Boy, Weight8000, Debug Pistol and Stimpack.esp. I would just like to know how to get started. Edited by Wescyd3

are you trying to make new esp files, or use existing ones??

for making new ones, get the GECK and you can find some good help here

as for using esp files, you need to get NVSE (just google it, it should be the first result), and then FOMM (you can find it on the Top 100 page, and if not, just search for it, it's really easy to find it)

now, i would assume that you know how to install mods (where to put the files and all)

so after you have placed everything where it belongs, open up FOMM, and you should see a list of all the plugins (esp and esm files) that you have in your Data folder

make sure that the FalloutNV.esm is first, then all the esm files, then all the esp files

check all the files that you want to use, then just launch New Vegas through FOMM

and that should be about all you need to know

for tutorials on load orders and such, scan the forums here, there are plenty of good ones

well, in that case, the link i provided should give you some basic help

if you want some more advanced help, you will need to decide what you are trying to do before

and when you do decide what you can do, you can easily ask for help here, or search on google for tutorials (almost always works)

still, the site i provided you with should have at least enough for you to start with

good luck :)

I really appreciate the help man! The download link was actually really hard to find for some odd reason and I obv need to get the Fallout 3 Game don't I? But for my first project I am thinking of a way to do Infinite Health. I already know how i can do this

no problem

don't mention it

as for getting FO3, you don't need FO3 if you are modding New Vegas

but if you want to mod FO3, you need FO3 (for the obvious reasons)

well, enjoy your time, and make some good mods :)

I'll try :) , and I actually just bought FallOut 3 for PC (10 Dollars). So I will look up some tutorials and see what I can do.
