Request for New Witcher 3 Sub-Forum

Numerous mod requests are drowning discussion about the current community tools and technical findings regarding W3 modding.

 

I'd suggest moving mod requests to their own sub-forum in Modding.

 

Would this be possible?

Giving the modding requests their own subforum is not likely to make them any more appealing to modders. And a quick look in the mod talk forum shows lots of requests and very little conversations about any tools. In fact out of all the threads on the first page I count only 5 that do not have "request" in the title and of those five there's only one discussing anything like a tool and another that asks about image locations, the other three are almost surely requests without the word.

Could we have a sub-forum for technical discussions then? As someone who's keen on modding W3 it's very unappealing having to sift through mod requests. I'm willing to wager that this problem will only get worse.

 

The technical discussions are admittedly few at the moment, but this will probably change - especially as we don't have an ETA on the official tools. Consider a new sub-forum a preemptive encouragement if nothing else.

I agree. Technical discussions are just shifted off the page so fast because of all the new requests posted and because they are less appealing.

I would also like this. Either a dedicated subforum for requests, or one for technical discussion.

 

Part of the reason that the modding-talk forum has so little tech discussion in it is that it is so overwhelmed by requests, that it hardly appears to be the correct place to discuss the technical stuff. There's techie talk scattered all over the forums, with no clear and suitable place to centralise it.
