Installation07 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Perhaps when the 'Combat Rebalance' guys come out with The Witcher 3 edition, I would like to see a version that changes the gameplay in such a way that all creatures have roughly the same health and Geralt will die in 1-2 hits regardless of what is attacking. A more realistic general combat experience.Geralt's damage would enable killing of enemies in just a few hits 1-4 say, maybe 10 or fewer for bosses, and all enemies would kill geralt in 1-2 hits. Leveling up would have to be disregarded or the skills unlocked would have to be changed to not effect damage or give attributes to other things... .
Baalt Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Yeah likewise. The death march difficulty would be awesome with a mod - that made it bloodborne alike. Best fights I had in the W3 was when I was 19 and tried to take down a 27 Earth elemental took me 20 min - 2 fails = dead. There som mechanics that can be used for som big ass raidbosses.
samuraigen52 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) I strongly agree with the OP. I don't much care for fights that are really hard mostly because my character has low health and attack power, while my enemy has high health and high attack power. Give me a fight where my enemy and I die from a few attacks, so we had better fight smart like in Chivalry Medieval Warfare. Since I don't like it easy, nor extremely hard; I found myself adjusting the difficulty back and forth from "Just a story" to "Death March," through the entire game. I'm not a fan of leveling, or items/gear with vastly varying stats, because they make it so much harder for a game to be balanced. I also think the realism of dying and killing in a few hits makes it more immersive and fun. Edited June 3, 2015 by samuraigen52
