UniversityDoge
Hi guys, I'm having a lot of issues with Bethesda games. I own a gaming pc with decent GPU, I can play games like Crysis 2&3, AC Black Flag on max settings with 0 problem. However, whenever I play games from Bethesda (i.e. Skyrim and Fallout), I experience CRAZY lag when there are light sources in my field of vision. I've tried tweaking the .ini files, lowering graphic settings, and disabling my integrated graphic card, nothing worked, and it seems like I'm the only one with this problem. If someone has any solution, PLEASE help me out. Thank you so much! PC Specs:CPU: Intel® Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8CPUs), ~3.6GHzGPU: AMD Radeon R9 270xRAM: 8G This issue also happens to vanilla games, so it's not about any mod. Thanks guys! ironhead333
I saw a similar issue on another board from a Skyrim player using the i7-4790. Have you disabled Windows Core Parking for use with the i7? (changing the power profile does NOT fix this issue) This fixed the problem for that person. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/754666/resolved-bad-fps-lag-on-skyrim-with-gtx-780-help-o/
obobski
Stutter around things like flames may also be caused if the frame-rate is too high - especially in Skyrim. These games generally don't like being run at multi-hundred FPS, and the animations associated with fire and some other lights will behave improperly when they are. Just enabling vsync or something else to cap at 60FPS can fix this. HyperThreading may also be causing the stutter problems - have you tried turning it off?
