XTR3M368
I have been using photoshop to modify .dds files for retextures for a while now. All of a sudden, I am getting this message when I try and save them and sometimes when I open them..."Could not complete your request do to a problem with the file-format module interface"I tried re-installing the Nvidia plugin, but it still happens. I have CS4 extended. Is there something I accidentally did or changed that causes this? Or did Photoshop somehow get corrupted and has to be re-installed? I don't remember doing anything different. Anybody know?
XTR3M368
I am also getting a "not enough RAM or memory" type error when trying to save....which is BS because I have 4GB of DDR3 1333.
DahliaLynn
I am also getting a "not enough RAM or memory" type error when trying to save....which is BS because I have 4GB of DDR3 1333. I can't say that this will be of any help, but normally when errors occur out of the blue, aside from noting any changes I had made to the system in between, I usually check my C/system drive, i.e. how much physical disc memory is available, as well as the pagefile memory allocation. When the C/system drive is filled to capacity, odd things like this can happen.
XTR3M368
Thanks for the input. I guess I will list the things I have already done/tried....defrag my HDerror check my HDtried 3 different GFX driversre-dl'd nvidia plugin for phototshopfreed up HD space...I had 160GB free to begin withverified vritual memory settings which Adobe recommends....was running it like that alreadyuninstalled and did a clean install of photoshopgoogled the problem and see a LOT of people having similar issues without a good "fix" photoshop is the only program I am having issues with. There is a possibility that my GFX card is on it's last legs...it is an old 8800GTS. The rest of my machine can chew up photoshop quite easily. DarkeWolf
If you want, I can move this thread over to the software support forums for you sometime X. Maybe get some more input about the problem from some of the folks that habit those portions of the sites. Definitely wish you good luck, this sounds like it's a pain in the rump. Specially to those of us that do a lot of graphics editing :(
DahliaLynn
@Dark0ne: That would be a good idea. I was planning on replying , but hadn't found sufficient info to actually provide useful help. Nevertheless I'll add my thoughts @xtr3m368Personally I would go back to a dds file that actually worked and see if I could indeed save it again. If that works, then you know there is something different about your current dds files. If the old one does *not* work, then I would also check the actual project settings (have they changed since?) Doe's patch 1.04 have anything to do with what is exported or used in the game? These would be questions I would ask. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. DarkeWolf
@Dark0ne: HAHAHAHA!!! INTERESTING!! I wonder if that "Dark0ne" has something to do with the edits that they made to the swear filter to make sure that his name gets spelled correctly! XT- if you want the thread moved, just let me know. You know you can pm me directly, or just ask here on the thread. Good luck with the problem bro!
DahliaLynn
@Dark0ne: HAHAHAHA!!! INTERESTING!! I wonder if that "Dark0ne" has something to do with the edits that they made to the swear filter to make sure that his name gets spelled correctly! OMG, I can't believe I did that! Apparently, your name rang in my mind as Dark0ne and I actually retyped your name without checking for accuracy. I *know* I had seen "Dark0ne" somewhere earlier today. That HAS to be the reason. :) Sorry about that!
