Azrune
Ya know what I seriously never understood about Morrowind or Oblivion, neither had ladders that functioned (except for teleporting from one cell to the next), most every game has ladders, why didn't Bethesda put in ladders. I know it wouldn't have been huge but still, it should have been in the game.

I do believe there is one or two functioning ladders in Oblivion, they were near Aylied ruins. maybe it was a feature they decided that wasn't important enough to put everywhere. Guest Tessera
My character's agility is so high at this point, that she can literally leap 20 feet up into the air. Who needs ladders..? :P
Landsknecht
I do believe there is one or two functioning ladders in Oblivion, they were near Aylied ruins. Really? Would you mind checking up on that and getting the names of the ruins? I would really like to check that out.

These ladders are probably placed not too steep so you can walk over them. I don't think they actually brought you somewhere though, and there is certainly no climbing mode. cryocry
There's a mod that has ladders... of course they're hard to climb, though!

The only names I catch for interesting places are the forts, mines, and caves. It looks like I'll have to now check out all the ruins now (I skipped over a few), because I like plundering the forts more than anything. Of course, now that I'm thinking about it, I probably did notice ladders in one, but probably thought they were decorations since they did not seem to go anywhere useful and did not have a "quick travel" function. Sypron
I think they must have been left out because it would be moe trouble than its worth. If they made ladders then they would need to go into the game and put them places, and make places that need them. Plus, its moer of a platformer thing, and onblivion isn't a platformer (although i wish it was).
dreth
There is a Havok Ladder mod for Oblivion here .I found these mods to be very useful for getting around dungeons and other areas where my character can't jump to.
