phantomfugue Posted January 22, 2011 Share Posted January 22, 2011 Anyways, I tried my best and couldn't get the editing software for Oblivion to work. x-x And I stumbled across this mod, which the uploader says is free to edit, as long as she's credited;http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27602And it looks awesome, but I just can't fix it up myself to work with an orc. If there is anyone capable of this, would they be kind enough to either convert it to work with orcs or make something along those lines?And yes, I've tried everything to get the editing software to work with my computer, and it just doesn't work, no matter how many guides I try to use to fix it up.Please. ;3; My orc just doesn't look right, since the only orc braids leave him half-bald and weird looking. Oblivion itself doesn't even work half the time.I don't mind trying to learn how to make it myself, but it might take me a while to fix things up so they run properly, and I might need some help, even with that. And I don't want to take up too much of your time asking questions, but I'm willing to try and learn, if you'd want. It's whatever's easier for you to do, if you don't mind helping with this. Kjkirimi Posted January 22, 2011 Share Posted January 22, 2011 Ok, checked a little the braids.They're a wig so you can simple equip it. Or... the harder way.... Open the cs, go to the race or character menu at the top and a new menu will pop up. ( i don't know for sure cause I don't have my cs open so I write this as I remember )Click right and select new, write an unique id like 01Braids - 01 cause you'll find it easily.I don't know what the first option , but you need to select the nif file . Go to meshes/characters/kdLucRaces and select the file.Then for the second option go to textures and the same folders I guess and select the braids.dds. Don't close the window yet. Just don't.Now click on the playable option and open the race menu and select races or race and click on orcs. The third column or the second is what you're looking for. On the top in the left it should say hairs and underneat it should say eyes. Anyhow, hold click on the hair you created and drop it when it says hair/ hairs? Now save your esp and make sure it's activated. I verified the textures , there should be no problems with the ears. I tried using some of the modding tools listen on the Tes4 website, and I can't get them to run on my computer. x-x If it's any help, I have the GoTY edition and have to run it on Vista.I got an error with every one I tried to use and can't even begin to start trying to do what you said.
