rebel7254 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Straightforward request here. Just make weapons and armor stay 100% all the time. I've never liked the repair mechanic, and I was glad to see Bethesda eliminate it in Skyrim. I think this would be a popular mod...in fact, I'm kind of surprised somebody hasn't made it already. zsp117 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I second this. There was no repair in Witcher 2 and it was amazing. The only reason I can see for repair is an attrisive mechanic to force you to stop adventuring, go back to town, track down a repair guy, etc. It just halts the momentum of the fun part of the game while you deal with archaic, pedantic issues. I'd love a mod to do away with it!
rebel7254 Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Perhaps infinitely reusable repair kits would be an easier way to deal with this issue. You'd still have to pause the game and do the repairs - so it wouldn't be as ideal as my original request, but at least you could always just repair the weapon/armor yourself without ever having to go to a blacksmith or buy more kits. I just don't know from a programming/modding standpoint if that would be any easier or not. I only played W2 for a dozen hours or so a couple of years ago, so I couldn't remember if it had the repair mechanic or not. Edited June 4, 2015 by rebel7254
