Akiad Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 While searching around on the internet for more mods to install, I came across this article: http://www.gamesradar.com/skyrim-mods-make-it-look-next-gen-game/ Now, these all seem like mods I already have, except for in the second slide, this image:http://0519f170a2731643c0a9-ec45ee3cb118921cf5758d3a3db775b7.r83.cf1.rackcdn.com/438950f1df2e2c95432ba1abf038bc8af9e0dd60.jpg__846x0_q80.jpg Now, according to the comments, this is not a real mod. (If it is, please link it here, I tried to find it). I was wondering if there are any mods like this, and if not, why there havent been any made. An inventory that is this clean and straight-forward, as well as being able to see you character is just what I'm looking for. Although this is not exactly immersive, I still think it would be a fantastic mod for almost everyone to enjoy.
Oubliette Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Nope, not real. Nothing like it ever existed. Too bad as I too prefer a grid display for my inventory to the long lists that are becoming more typical. Edited June 4, 2015 by Oubliette
cdcooley Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 That was a concept drawing when people were contemplating how they wanted the interface to look. Then folks who knew what they were doing found out what was actually possible and what wasn't. That Morrowind-enspired grid view just can't be done with the Skyrim engine. A way to view the player was attempted, but ultimately didn't work. In the end we got SkyUI and various HUD overhaul mods, but nothing quite like that.
vram1974 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I'll never understand why Skyrim didn't keep the Morrowind grid plus Oblivion character preview pane. Such a shame.
