Shield Graphics Mod

Hi all. I just have a simple question that I cannot find the answer to anywhere.

Is there a mod available (or a fix of some kind) that fixes the way the shield bulges out from the back of the character when not in combat? Thank you.

Tht "bulge" is deliberate. It's the stand-off caused by the handles on the inside of the shield, and is actually pretty accurate to how real shields (of this type) behave when slung on the back. The reason it looks so odd is because except in very close-up views, the texture files do not include the handles themselves. So it appears that the shield is "floating" behind the character...

Ah. So there's no way to make it actually touch the back then?

Well if not that's okay. Tell me, are there any "tactics" mods you would recommend me using to increase the potential of my companions AI? I've heard about "advanced tactics", though I heard there's a severe "invisible objects" bug that prevents players from playing the game.

I'm on my second playthrough btw. Spoilers allowed.

I don't use Advanced Tacics (AT) myself. I'm able to get pretty good results with the vanilla AI. But then I don't mind a lot of pause-and-select during my combat sequences.

I set the first slot to be "Self Health less-than x% / Use Potion", then the next couple as "Self-Any" to envoke whatever constant buffs I want the character to employ. After that, maybe somethng for "Being Attacked - Melee", or "Suround by at least x Enemies". That's about it.

I can appreciate that people who prefer to do battle "in real time" might want more options and finer control.

Yea I agree with you as well. I've been able to get by nicely with just the default AI Bioware made, it's good not gonna lie. There are certain bugs though, like sometimes my characters will just stop doing tactics after they do 2 things, and I have to manually force them to use their tactics again.

There are some things lacking though, like Zevran intuitively going for backstabs, or always flanking.

Basically, I like the vanilla AI, but I'm the type of guy that likes to set up strategies beforehand, and just watch my AI go to town on their own, in real time (kinda like a RTS). I find that stuff most fun.
