duude98
Yay for two posts about creation kit issues in one day! Anyway, the issue I am having is a forcegreet is simply not working. I created a new nord npc with a custom voice type to speak some lines in a quest that is not start game enabled, and the npc will simply not use the package. It is the only one assigned to the npc, and there are no conditions on it or any of the dialogue options it would use. The npc just stands there when the player approaches him. I can talk to him and have the dialogue options I would have in the forcegreet, but the npc will not initiate the conversation. I literally have no idea what I am doing wrong, I have done this many times in my mod prior. If there are any details I am leaving out that would be helpful just ask away. I should also mention that the package is in the alias, and the alias uses a specific object reference instead of an actor, because the npc does not show up on the list for whatever reason. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
skinnytecboy
Is the alias in the Quest that is not enabled? Type sqv yourquestname in console.. it will tell you if your alias has filled.
duude98
Huh, your right, its not filling for some reason, thanks! Can you think of a reason this might be? Again, there are no conditions set on anything as of now.
skinnytecboy
Not 100% sure. Aliases are fiddly little buggers. Check how your alias is set up.. best set to an object reference of the npc and nothing else checked. Also (just in case you haven't) obey the two golden rules. Always make a new Seq with every change to dialogue. Always rest from a clean save.
Anikma
Are you starting your quest off a clean save? Also I believe the dialogue you want him to say has to be forcegreet subtype, and the topic you want him to greet with has to be defined in the package. javaplaza
your actor isn't showing up because you have to check the box for Unique, the the Actor's traits tab. im here because im also having trouble getting force greet to start, tho.. always generating SEQalways a clean save
