Purr4me
For some reason my GECK now only moves items in massive increments and makes interior design and item placement near impossible. Is there a way to return it to the default?you have a graphics mismatch taking place between the desktop display settings and game rendering settings along with the gecks pre-op settings.when you load the geck, it loads up the basic display..you need to set things up prior to loading / enabling the masters and selected esp's your working on, load it and save it and close it down. then reload it all up and test the objects in question, small steps and verify in game the settings are cool, other wise.......this post is what we will see. If you run ENB's have altered the ini files ,messed up the geck with script extenders, then all bets are off.It works only one way to develop correct formats.NOTE: the game will always launch in 800x600 format regardless of any thing you may think is happening, the game was built when? with what systems? with what available equipments? think, it's simple to understand all of this...we are in the year 2015...not 2007. what you currently own was not even around then.If your working on antique equipment? sell it, your better off with new stuff. the rendering windows of the kit use the settings based internally, you can change this in the custom ini, but be warned, you can't upload the results because no one else can run it. defaults can be altered just enough to please most of the market place /users base in the world....you get tricky and have problems, they tend to come back at you. set things up basic only..and see what takes place. Purr4me
start over: post your specs, the PC's specs how you have it all set up, I just read your profile, seems your just learning and have no idea what I just posted is all about. most that come here , seem to just want a click and go thing and expect it all to just work. well..LOL, not quite gonna happen that way.you can delete your ini files for the geck only and relaunch it. but prior to doing that, set the desk top display to 1024x768 and reboot, so when you open the geck, it's windows will obey the system settings and the rendering will be in line with the game world spaces. I try too give as much info as possible. This is what can be done in these settings, although it is exterior world space, the objects use the same things as inside world spaces do.it is amazing what can be done with vanilla data. this shot was 1024x768 game and desktop creations....when posting things in game this kind of programing "@ higher settings" it looks awesome !zero hits on system FPShttp://s26.postimg.org/qrfep7ssp/Trans_Sending_Time.jpg Edited June 5, 2015 by Purr4me
SKYZOO
Did you tick the 'Snap To Grid' function unintentionally? If so make sure it is unchecked, or it will force you to move items / objects in pre-computed grid like patterns, and not allow free motion. It is the button after the floppy disk icon in the Geck, here is a picture to show you just incase this is the problem. Hope this helps a little if any at all...http://oi60.tinypic.com/2sboha9.jpg Edited June 5, 2015 by SKYZOO
Purr4me
help him /her as much as you can, I have a lot of reports to complete. I believe the settings are set too high so the desktop is way out of proportions to the gecks rendering windows.64 is default I believe? for the grids. SKYZOO
I think 64 is default, it's been a long time since I had a fresh Geck install. I can't think of anything else in Geck it would be, so that was my only idea. As much as I do get what your above posts said, I'm on the simpler side of things so I can only respond with what I know, always helping where and when I can though. Edited June 5, 2015 by SKYZOO
Purr4me
if you load the geck with Mod Organizer, the grid will be reset to 32 , the desktop display of the GECK's windows changes drasticly because another rendered is taking over, internal instructions get over ridden By MO ,the same will occur if you use say steam, or AMD Gaming Evolved, Or Even Origins over lays...the number one instance of the greatest importance is that graphics display usage and control...what ever is in control , sets the base of any mods made with that software period. This is why it's so important to use basic 32bit systems for this old game, Emulated 64 bit to 32bit leaves too many things to go horribly wrong in developments.I could load shots of all the different MO's I have installed, sets of different make up's...girls do that ya know...I like clothes lot's and lot's of clothes.I like to change things and do it as fast as possible just to prove I can.....it get's old after a while. What I have learned and at the pace I have learned it at, can not be posted here. It would take me a year to post all of it.all I can do is direct you to the link I have here in my profile's signature ,the shared data shots I put up. I used to have 250+, but I removed most of them as I thought it to be a waste of space, so the cream of the crop is here I shared. ( i ) want to see good things from young people and old alike that Enjoy making things with games, productive and acknowledged of that learned profession .No time for spoilers, I like to see them get into things, tear it apart and see how things tick / work, dis cover modding perks. 3 dog said " ever see a tree ? Green tree's not those black dead things:.well, I sort of took that to heights no ones has been able to match yet.I Enjoyed my self and my creations and want to only see others do the same. Is this not what gaming is about?I think it is....

SKYZOO
@WhiteWeaselMLAS Glad I could help, the same thing happened to me in the beginning of my modding and I had to figure it out on the fly, I had no internet connection at the time. Best of luck with your project! :D @Purr4me Your dedication is captivating, and your message was somewhat fascinating as you are deeply invested in your craft. My hat's off to those who are willing to learn and work for what they want to achieve. Cheers and goodday.
