Deadly Reflex 6 Weird Problems

Ok so i installed deadly reflex 6 recently and it seems to work pretty much fine aside from a few weird annoying problems that has popped up. I'll list in point form to make it easier:

 

1. The Save games are invisible when loading can still load but no text just blank...

 

2. The weapon seems like its of to the right a bit too far ( dont know if thats what its supposed to be like in deadly reflex or not but weird none the less)

 

3. All the actions and new skills (ie. Dodge, Throw, Bash etc) seem to work the first time i load a game but if i die or reload again they all get like deactivated and i cant use them although the changed attacks and power attacks remain the same.

 

4. I don't know if this has something to do with the momentum bar but i have never gotten a decapitation or melee critical although i have achieved magic ones like freezing and electrocuted etc i havnt gotten a melee one.

 

5. The kicks don't seem to work for me... do you need to have a high acrobatics skill for them to even be achievable or can you do with low skill levels?

Well i have fixed my problems 1, 4 and 5 but the weapons still seem to be off to the right a bit (not that bad i can live with it like that) but the dodge, bash etc seem to become unavailable for use after i die once or reload which is kinda annoying because you sorta need them to get the full benefits of deadly reflex... There is to people that have same or similar problem but it is never answered..

A while ago the combat moves just suddenly stopped working and I have no hourglass in my inventory anymore. I have tried using the config file reset and reinstalling the mod, but none of those has helped.

I have lately installed just the Darnified UI and Unofficial Oblivion Patch (which I tried disabling too). Would anyone have any idea what's up with it?

Except I do have an hourglass named "Deadly Reflex Reset" and the mod has never worked for me, but I installed both the DarnifiedUI and the Unofficial Oblivion Patch just before installing Deadly Reflex 6.

 

As I posted somewhere above, I can't kick, dismember body parts or go into that slow motion mode.

I have watched videos about it to make sure I'm doing it right, but nothing seems to be working with those. I can, however, perform the attack animations (A+attack and D+attack), throat slitting, and ambush, but none of them have dismemberment (I know the slit throat is not supposed to).

 

If this helps at all, when I try to kick (hold block then direction+attack) it just does a normal swinging attack corresponding to the direction I pressed.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

It seems like this was just temporary, I exited the game and restarted and it doesn't swing when I do that key combination, but instead it just keeps blocking, so kicking does not work.

 

Also, when I try to do the slow-motion swing (D+attack, I believe), it does cause the game to move in slow-motion maybe...one or two seconds? Probably the time it takes to swing the weapon.

So it seems dismemberment and kicking still does not work :\ "

The weapon is "off to the right" because the mod redoes the animations for 1st person.

 

It's supposed to be that way. I don't know if Sky Captain animated them from scratch, of if he modified the existing ones in 3rd Person Animation in 1st Person View, but they are a vast improvement over the vanilla first person.

 

Anyone that complains the vanilla first person is gone with this mod, should do themselves a favor and play some old 3D shooters.

 

Sorry. I recently read some complaints about the new 1st person, and I wanted to ask if they recently had a botched lobotomy...

 

 

As for your number 3, join the club. It's a common bug in the mod. Sky Captain is aware of it, and it's being corrected.

ok thanks for your reply i wasnt too worried about the 1st person animation just didnt know if it was supposed to be like that.... I was mainly concerned with the skills not working but i guess if i have to reload ill just save before hand and exit and re-enter...

Reloading a save and losing controls is not the fault of Deadly Reflex 6. It's an issue with OBSE, and should be resolved now with v20~. This was mentioned and confirmed a while back, in multiple threads. DR 6 is not the only mod that has this issue. Any mod that relies on the GetGameLoaded (I'm fairly sure this was the troublesome call, don't quote me. If not it was a similar call) function will fail if you reload from within Oblivion. Mod authors were not aware of this for a very long time and no one was really aware it was an issue until recently when certain mods would lose functionality from reloading within the game. However I suggest you always exit to desktop to reload as there are other issues associated with loading from within, that are not necessarily OBSE or mod related.
