SunsailorGaming
Probably a bit of an odd request, but its something I think would fit nicely in Fallout New Vegas. The Remington Model 8 was a Automatic-Loading Rifle created in the very late 1890s (the patent was obtained in 1900) by John Browning (May the Glorious Atom preserve him) as a Semi-Automatic rifle, the first of its kind to make use of the Rotating Bolt used today in fire-arms like the M16, and AK-47. The Rifle saw sale in the fields of Law Enforcement and in Sport Hunting. Over 200,000 rifles seeing manufacture over its lifetime. The Rifle boasted several calibers, (largely proprietary rounds) .25, .30, .32, .35 Remingtons. The Rifle came stock with a fixed 5 round magazine, however the LE versions of the gun came with 5, 10, 15, and even so high as 20 round detachable magazines. The Rifle was even made famous by Texas Ranger Frank Hamer, the man known for the deed of tracking down and killing Bonny and Clyde in 1934. More information can be found both Here and Here. Balancing it is likely the simplest part. Since it uses a .25, .300, and .32 caliber bullet in real life, it would like use 5.56 or .308 ammunition. I'd personally prefer to see it as a Varmint Rifle replacement. Stock, I'd say it'd have a 5 round capacity like the Varmint Rifle, with a static magazine (if that's possible). Upgrades for it would include; A Detatchable Magazine, with 10 rounds instead of 5 (improved reload time and capacity). A Foregrip (improves spread and accuracy), and probably improved ironsights (Removes the Peep sight in favor of modern ironsights). All just fantasy sadly.
