DereadWind
One thing that really disappoints me about the Shivering Isles expansion is that the music is exactly the same as the main game. I know that is how it was in Morrowind with Mournhold and Solstheim, but the music in Morrowind was more versatile. It could work in the frozen wilderness of Solstheim and the radiant glory of Mournhold, because it was so lush and varied. The soundtrack in Oblivion is more limited in this respect; it only fits in a straight-up fantasy environment like Cyrodiil. It does not work for the Shivering Isles, which is more dangerous, mysterious, and alien than Tamriel. This is the realm of insanity and dementia, and the music is too pleasant and does not foster unease of the mind. Can anyone give me some pointers about how to make it so I have the original Oblivion music, and a separate custom music listing for Shivering Isles? The result being I am in Cyrodiil on the island that portals me to Sheogorath's realm, and when I am in the Shivering Isles, a completely different soundtrack plays in this realm, and going back and forth between the two yields two different musical sounds between both realms. I have manually replaced the entire soundtrack before, but I would like to know if what I am proposing is possible. On a related note, can anyone help me with making it so I can select a particular set of music tracks that play when I enter a temple?
