aidynphoenix
im just starting out a new game in oblivion, and its been awhile.. i had forgotten how old and nasty all the people in the game looked, i downloaded HGEC_Body_v1dot17-15802, and figured out how to use it with oblivion-mod-manager, but it just made the bodies look better.. all the faces are still disgusting...im not going to just run around in the game in third person while naked, id never accomplish anything.. can anybody reccomend me specific mods to use to make the character faces more attractive? I know exactly how you feel. Most are ugly. I don't particularity care for this mod but you can certainly give it a try. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5175
Wordsmith
An alternative to the one above is the Race Balancing Project - the graphics seem a little more compatible as far as eyes are concerned. And for less uglified npc's, try the Tamriel NPCs Revamped mod I use both and am pretty happy with the results. If you've installed the hgec body, it's best to download a stock clothing and armour replacer - based on the bust size you chose on install - it helps stop clipping issues. If you chose a "sensible" bust size, the exnem's body stock replacers should work well too.
aidynphoenix
thanks! im giving the TNR - Tamriel NPCs Revamped v106 mod a shot right now. i find it strange that the modding community is able to make the game soomuch better than betheseda did.. why would they intentionally make everybody look old and ugly? one last thing that i am interested in. im wanting to use the editior and make a new armor and weapon.how painstaking of a process is this to do? is this something that i will need additional applications other than tes-construction set and photoshop for?? Lokishadow
Maybe they made the characters look ugly to reflect the accuracy of how harsh life in the Middle Ages really was. I mean, these people don't have running water, and they typically work 12-16 hours a day. How's that mod (Tamriel's NPs Revamped) working out for you? I've been looking for a good head/face pack to go with HGEC, as well as some stock clothing/armor replacers, just to pretty up my game a bit. I was using Robert's Males and Females with Slof's nude textures, but the combo is kind of buggy, and I like Exnem's nude males better (they don't look ridiculously lean like Slof's). -Loki
bovd
I don't mind if the menfolk are a little brutal to look at. As for the females, I'm using Ozmo's textures, the first two files from High Rez Skin Textures for HGEC. I like the installers because you can pick which races you want to apply them to.
